January 2's- Bridge Program
2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
The January 2's Bridge Program is a partner program between the Sutton Place Family Center and Kaplan Nursery School. It is designed for children who do not meet the cut-off for the Two’s program in September or who selected to delay enrollment. The program is for children turning two from January 1, 2020 through December, 2020.
Children will attend the program twice a week (T/TH) for 90 minutes (9:30-11:00am) from January through the middle of March. Beginning on March 18th the class will extend to 2 hours (9:15-11:15) and run through June 3rd. Due to Health and Safety Policies around COVID-19, this is a separation program. Children will begin school on January 7th with an outdoor individual visit, where they will meet the teachers, learn about the arrival process, and take home a social story regarding what arrival and the school day will look like. Following outdoor visits, children will attend an individual visit in the classroom alongside a parent/ caregiver. Once individual visits are complete, children will be placed in small groups (of 2-3 students), and they will attend school for an abbreviated time, while developing relationships with teachers and working through the separation process. A parent/caregiver can attend the class while in small groups, through teachers will facilitate separation during this time, In order to allow for adults to social distance, we will not be able to bring the full class together, until the majority of the children have separated. We anticipate the separation process lasting through January, and reserve the right to extend if enough children have not separated.
The program will be led by two experienced teachers and will include: activity time, snack time, circle time, story-time, music and gross motor play on the outdoor playground, or indoor play space. Children will engage in parallel play, building a foundation for how to be part of a group setting.
*The Bridge Program will follow the Nursery School calendar. There will be no make-ups for missed classes.
*All COVID-19 policies will be followed by the school and families. An updated medical, with required vaccinations, is required for enrollment.
*Families enrolled in this program will receive the opportunity to opt into Early Decision during the Kaplan Nursery School admissions process for the 2021-2022 school year.

Tuition for the year:
$4,250 for Sutton Place Synagogue -Members
$4,475 for Non-Members plus a $50 security fee
Tuition will be divided into 2 payments:
Deposit upon registration: $2,000
January 1, 2021: Non-Members $2,525
Sutton Place Synagogue Members $2,250
All payments are non-refundable
