Passover Fund

Passover teaches us to open our hearts and hands to those who need our strength and support.
While it is customary to invite guests to the seder, there are times we must bring the meaning of
Passover to members of our Jewish family coping with the challenges of life.

Now is the moment to contribute to Maot Hittim. What is Maot Hittim? It is a fund established by
Jews everywhere to make certain that every Jew, no matter how poverty stricken, is able to
celebrate with dignity the Festival of Matzot.

Our Sutton Place Synagogue Passover Fund offers you the joyful opportunity of participating in
this mitzvah of kindness. A significant portion of our funds goes to the Passover Appeal of the
New York Board of Rabbis. The Board distributes special holiday packages to nursing homes,
assisted living, mental health and developmental facilities, and correctional institutions.
We will also distribute gifts among the needy in our community and charitable organizations that
help people celebrate Passover.

We invited you to make a contribution to this fund since our world always needs expressions of
kindness.
